Kit Review
This limited edition kit looks at the Messerschmitt Bf 110C/D during the Battle of Britain and to clarify, the kit only offers parts for ONE model, you can make C or D variants, not both.

Inside the box you will find two clear and ten dark grey-coloured sprues plus two frets of photo-etched, resin pars for the ventral cannon in the C-6 and a set of self-adhesive paint masks. The kit is unchanged from the original C and D releases, you just get the fuselage sprues from each with one set of wing/engine parts plus details. You also get the ground personnel figures that were released separately by Eduard a few years back. The ventral MG 101 cannon of the C-6 is supplied as resin parts, comprising the carrier for the cannon, the cannon itself, ammunition drums, cut-out in the underside of the fuselage and the cover over the whole thing. The ventral fuel tank of the D along with the centreline ETC rack and bombs are all still included, having been in the original C or D kits.

The decal sheet looks lovely and include a full set of airframe stencils. There are two sets of national insignia included, with the swastikas done is two parts on the main sheet and complete set off to one corner, so these latter ones can be cut off from those kits going to those countries that ban the symbol.

Conclusion
A lovely kit with some superb options, a complete C and D in the box would have been nice, but maybe the end price would have been a stumbling block for many, so you can see why they went with this 'either or' option. Highly recommended to all Luftwaffe modellers and everyone interested in the Battle of Britain period.

Our thanks to Eduard (www.eduard.com) for the review sample, UK modellers can obtain this kit from Hannants here.
