Albion Alloy Slide Fit Tube Pack

Albion Alloy produce a mass of modelling products plus a huge range of micro-tubing and other materials.
The example we have here is one of their slide fit tube packs, in this case the aluminium version of 0.3mm, 0.5mm. 0.7mm and 0.9mm diameters. Each tube is approximately 30cm long and one slides neatly into the other. Being aluminium you can easily cut them by gently rolling a scalpel blade around them, there is no need to any special cutting tools, This is the main reason why I use the aluminium sets, as cutting micro-tubing in other materials can be a real bind. This type of slide fit tubing is ideal to make up pitot tubes, which is my main use for it, but you can also make hydraulic rams and other structural components with it.
