Kit Review
This is a new tooling from Roden and it continues their ever-expanding coverage of airliners in 1/144th with one of the most sought after types, well from a British modellers' point of view. Inside the box you will find a single clear sprue and eight in a mid-grey colour. This plastic is quite hard, but the surface detail is beautifully engraved lines and other details; their are no rivets, not any other such details. Assembly is quite straightforward and achieved in just nine stages. There is nothing inside the fuselage, no cabin or flight deck details, so you just add the windows and some nose weights (20g is show at Stage 8). The remainder of assembly is basically the undercarriage legs with separate wheels and doors and the engines and propellers. The canopy glazing is done as one piece that includes both glass and the upper section of the fuselage and this should ease dealing with the join in this area.
The kit comes with a single decal option.
• G-AOVB, BOAC, 1964.
The decal sheet includes the fuselage stripes in three sections and the entire vertical fin/rudder as a decal for each side. The nose area of the stripe will have to be cut to get it to conform to the profile in this area and you are going to have to take care when you mask and spray the upper white decking demarcation to ensure it all lines up.

Conclusion
A lovely kit of an iconic type and one we are sure will be welcomed by all modellers building airliners.
