Kit Review

This is an all-new tooling from ICM.

Inside the box you will find one medium grey-coloured sprue containing 30 parts. These parts make up three figures, in poses as per the box art. The parts breakdown for each figure comprises a torso with separate arms, legs and head, the latter either with a separate cap or moulded with a flying helmet in situ. Surface detail for the fabric of the uniforms is excellent, as are the facial expressions. Things like the flying goggles are separate, but these have a squarish shape to the lens surround, whilst WWII era British ones are as per the illustration on the box art (including the angled lens, which is also not depicted in the kit part). The separate life jackets are nice, as they result is a more accurate 'depth' to them once in place and the oxygen masks and pipes are also separate. There are no decals, so all insignia, caps badges and other markings will have to be achieved via paint

Conclusion
This is a nice set of figures, ideally suited for their new Gladiator kit, as per the box top illustration, but also applicable to other types operating in the Middle East during WWII.

Our thanks to ICM (www.icm.com.ua) for the review sample, UK modeller's can obtain this kit from Hannants here.
