This set is offered as a direct replacement for the kit parts, but with more detail and, where appropriate, correcting any errors. This type of metal undercarriage is always useful, simply because it allows a degree of adjustment to ensure the wheels sit squarely on the ground, which is something you just can’t do with plastic.
