Book Review
This is the second volume of the coverage of Breguet designs by Lela Presse, see our review of the first volume here. It comes in a hardback format of 336 pages containing over 800 images. The narrative is French throughout, as are all the photo captions. Coverage starts where the other volume left off, so you get designs from WWII starting with the aptly named LeO 460-462 Vultur, before moving on to in-house designs in the form of the 48 series (481-483). The well-known 690 series comes next (690 to 699) and concluding this 'bomber' section are the Type 720, 810 and 820, none of which got further than the drawing board. The next section deals with flying boats and floatplanes, starting with the 340, 350 and 360 projects, then moving on to the 370, Calcutta, 510, 520/522, 610, 660H, 720 Hydro, 730/731, 740/741, 830/831, 770/771 and 780/781, 790 Nautilus and projects like the 860, 880, 950, ASM 44t and ASM 65t. The third section deals with transport aircraft of the inter-war and war period starting with the Wibault 36, 28 and 670T along with the 290 project, the 470T Fulgur, the 471, 483T and 484T projects, the 500 series (510 to 550), 701T/702 and finally the wartime Type 101. The next sections deals with research aircraft built by Breguet for others such as the Breguet-Latecoere 675, Mauboussin 120-series, Leduc 010, Gérin Varivol V6e and Riout Alérion 102T, then there is a sub-section within it dealing with impressed designs such as the Bv 144, Ju 488, Fa 284 and finally, some super-heavy designs such as the Type 850/851, 1000/1001 and 870. By now you are 127 pages in and the next section looks at gyroplanes/helicopters starting with the Gyroplane GY Laboratoire, the the 10 ton transatlantic, the Gyrauto flying car, Gyroplane G10 (G10A and G10S), G20, G30/32, G34, G11E and G111 plus some projects from 1946-1947. Transport aircraft get covered next, as a follow on from the previous coverage this covered post-war types, so you get the 760, 761, , 763, 764, 765 Sahara, 766 and 767, then the 840/843, 890, 890H, 892S. 893, 893H, 894, 895H, 970, 971, 972, 973 and 974. Then it moves on to jet-powered transports, still within the section, so you get the 978, 1160, 124 and HBN 100. Gliders are probably not something you think about for Breguet but the whole next section is devoted to the type, from the P1/P2, through the 900, 901, 902, 903, 904 Nymplale, 905 Fauvette, 906 Choucas, 907 and 1060(bis). Aircraft designs for maritime use are covered next, starting with the 960 Vultur, then moving through the various projects from the 960 leading to the 962, 963 and 965. The 990 is next followed by the two-engine ASM platform project before you reach the 1050 Alizé, one of their most famous designs, which gets a lot of coverage as a result. Various projects are also covered such as the 1100M, 1120 Sirocco, 117 (TALP) and 120 (DAFNE) before you get quick coverage of the Sepecat Jaguar Marine. Then comes the 764 and 895 ASM and the famous 1150 Atlantic, again with lots of coverage for this type. The next section deals with the various processes and installations built and/or tested by Breguet, not just aircraft but hovercraft, ordnance, propellers and even satellites. The next section is devoted to the STOL 94 series including the 941 and even the huge four-engine 946 project. This is followed by a look at VTOL designs and adaptions before the coverage shifts to modern jet combat aircraft. In this section you get the 1000, 1001 Taon, 1002, 1005, 1100, 1180 before you reach the 121, which became the Jaguar. There are lots of superb diagrams and photos of the Jaguar, then coverage moves on to the 122 swing-wing fighter project and then the 126, which became the Alpha Jet, so once again you get lots of nice photos and diagrams with this one to conclude the title.

Conclusion
A superb book, full of information that will be of great use to modellers, as much of it is detail and interior photos along with a wealth of camouflage and marking information via the numerous colour images. This title is highly recommended to all French aviation fans and modellers.
