'Over all of Spain, the sky is clear'

Inside the usual slip-cover style box you will find the Tupolev SB 2M-100 'Katiushka' (#72161) and two Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3s (#72131). These are made up of one clear and five grey-colour sprues for the SB 2M-100 and one clear and one grey-coloured sprue for each of the Bf 109Es. The surface detail is engraved and includes structural rivets, but only on the SB 2M-100, the 109s are devoid of such rivet detail. The kits are much as they were originally, so being older toolings they do suffer a bit from flash and with the SB 2M-100 you have a multi-part fuselage to deal with with a rather complex joint in the mid-section. The original instruction included have not been updated, so lack the set of templates to make masks for all the glazed elements in each kit, as is the norm nowadays with ICM releases. All the colour options offered in this kit are depicted in full colour via a separate four-page paint and marking guide.

Markings
The kit offers just one option for each kit as follows: 
• Bf 109E-3, 6•107, 2.J/88, Legion Condor, spring 1939
• Bf 109E-3, 6•91, 3.J/88 Legion Condor, spring 1939
• SB 2M-100, BK-58, 'White 33', 24th Bomb Group, Republican Air Force Spain, spring 1939
The decals are beautifully printed, with perfect register and colour and they are very glossy. The sheet includes all the unique markings, the tail bands for the SB 2M-100 and wing crosses for the Bf 109s plus a set of basic airframe stencils for the 109s, but nothing for the SB 2M-100.  

Conclusion
This is a neat combination of kits and is highly recommended to all those building a themed collection on the Spanish Civil War or with an interest in either aircraft type.
